Reshape the Easy Way
The figure on the right shows a grid that represents a pipe elbow. The grid is presented within a Sculptor window, which has a full complement of menus and a toolbar as expected in any software GUI. The red, green, and blue lines represent a volume created within Sculptor that bounds the pipe elbow. The points connecting the lines are referred to as "control points". This type of volume is central to Sculptor, which has many convenient tools to make the volume-creation process as easy and intuitive as possible.
There are many points in the grid, and reshaping even this simple model via the method of "pointwise adjusting" would be tedious indeed.

Even going back to the original CAD model to make the shape changes requires time consuming CAD parameter changes and remeshing. A problem with CAD model manipulation of the shape is that the CAD model may not have the correct shape control parameter in the position necessary to change the shape for improving the fluid flow in the best fashion. Sculptor eliminates all of these problems by letting you reshape many grid points simultaneously using our intelligent ASD technology. This figure shows what a novice can accomplish after only a few minutes of instruction using Sculptor. This example may not be physically useful, but it illustrates the point (no pun intended). Rather than dealing with hundreds of points or relying on 'legacy' CAD parameters, only a few points are moved to reshape the object.
After reshaping the object, you can analyze the new shape using your favorite CFD code. This analysis can be initiated directly from within Sculptor via the "Analysis" menu, or it can be performed externally by exporting the new shape into your favorite CFD code's native file format. If the result doesn't meet your design objective, then simply reshape the model and try again.
