ASD Volume Construction Tools
As noted above, ASD volumes are central to Sculptor. After a grid is imported into Sculptor from a CFD code, the next step is to construct an ASD volume that encapsulates the grid. Fortunately, Sculptor has many convenient tools to simplify this process, which is illustrated below.

Note that the steps shown above can be duplicated by a novice in only a few minutes. Other options include merging multiple simple ASD volumes to form a more complicated volume, shrink wrapping, and "snap to".
Shrink Wrapping is demonstrated here. The concept is simply that you create an initial bounding ASD volume, and then you click a single button to better shape the ASD volume to the contours of your grid. The unstated assumption is that Sculptor gives you tighter control over the grid when the ASD volume fits snugly around the grid.
